“The wine that has impressed us most amongst those of the Sorso winery is a Vin du Pais, from pure Vermentino grapes. The Sussinku ’10 shows character and originality, thanks to notes of rind, wild flowers and a deeply tasty, sharp palate of high standing. Rustic but pleasant, this Cannonau di Sardegna ’09”.
“Nuraghe Crabioni: retain the name of this young, new presence in the Sassarese landscape, because it is well on the way becoming a household name. An example? Their Vermentino di Sardegna 2008 was really great find, a far cry from the many, too many similar offers on the market that have dilutes the personality. This one from Nuraghe Crabioni is instead a strongly scented wine with a distinct flowery matrix. It gives a sensation of depth, at every tasting, where its perfectly integrated acidity gives thrust to the nouthfeel, without lacking fullness. A floral aroma at the back of the mouth on the finish for an agreeable white. Bravo! Far too easy, betting on their rosy future.

Nuraghe Crabioni Sussinku, 2010, Sardinia, Italy “Subtlety and elegance lead the way with this understated wine, made from low yielding, old Sardinian Vermentino vines overlooking the sea. With its soft nose and floral tones, it has a rich palate, with textured stony fruit alongside lemons, bitter marmalade and a long creaminess to finish. Fish dishes were the food match of choice”.
